New Delivery - Attica Fire Department

Attica Fire Department has added a new KME Custom Panther Fire Truck to its firefighting fleet. The new unit features include a six-man cab, 425 horse power engine in a 226 inch, custom 3/16” aluminum fire body design.

Tim Hoegel, sales representative for Gorman Emergency Vehicles, custom designer of the vehicle, said, “We worked closely in partnership with the team from Attica Fire Department to custom design a unit that meets the quality specifications and specific demands of their department.”

Hoegel noted that the  KME’s custom construction makes maximum use of body space offering transverse compartments, split depth compartments above the frame and small compartments for unique storage.

Gorman custom up-fit the new unit to Attica’s exact specifications including PAC Tool Mounting, ResQtech Tools, and installation of a Cascade System to provide the most comprehensive service to residents of Attica and surrounding areas.


Additional features on the new unit include:

·         2010 KME Custom Panther Chassis

o   6-man LFD cab with 12 inch raised roof

o   425HP Cummins pre-emission engine

o   Allison EVS 3000 transmission

·         226” Custom 3/16” aluminum fire body

o   Fully enclosed rear mount pump

o   500 gallon poly tank

·         10K Onan generator

·         3,000 watt light tower

·         Front bumper rescue tools and reels

·         Cascade system

·         All LED lighting package

·         6 Command Light - 500 watt light heads
